There were no School at Sokoya village since founded, the children needed to walk over 7 miles to go to the nearby school posing a great fear to the parents due to the long distance so that bad things will not happen to their children.
Until when CARDO identified our community and constructed a community school.
Due to the illiteracy of the parents, they hardly send their kids to school instead they preferred sending them for farming and local mining, but through CARDO’s sensitization program, parents where been educated on the importance of sending their children to school instead of mining and farming.
Today the school can boost of over 100 kids and few pupils has recently promoted to secondary school.
All thanks to the team and may they continue to impact lives especially vulnerable children in the rural communities.
